How can I prepare my lab for SmartClass installation with Windows 11?

The teacher station has to be connected to a 1Gbps wired LAN. It cannot be on a WIFI network or a slower network. 

The student stations have 2 options:

1- 1 Gbps wired lan. 

2- WIFI with a reserved SSID for the lab, with AC 5 GHz or better.  Only the student computers in the lab can connect to the reserved SSID. Multiple Access Points can improve the performance as long as all have a reserved SSID. 

For local communications between the teacher and student, SmartClass apps, these TCP listening ports need to be opened bi-directionally:
80, 33370, 33378, 33379, 33389.
As long as these ports are opened, the computers can be in different VLANs. 

The SmartClass installed apps will connect directly to the internet to access resources, like the SmartClass Cloud access and license validation through our SmartClass License Manager. 

To do so, these Public IPs will need to be whitelisted for app access from the school network:

• License Manager: 104.196.227.65
• SmartClass Cloud: 82.192.84.41 (for all non-Americas clients)
•  SmartClass Cloud: 192.175.117.197 (for Americas clients)
• SmartClass Content download: 192.175.117.197 
• SCX cloud sharing: 184.107.3.12  

Teachers must use a Windows computer (desktop, laptop, or all-in-one) to install SmartClass HUB and/or LIVE.  The minimum recommendations for the Teacher Windows computers are as follows:

• Windows  11, 64-bit version. 
• Multicore CPU 2.5 GHz or faster.
• 8GB or more.  For LIVE, 16GB or more is recommended.
• 120 GB drive min., solid-state highly recommended (SSD, M.2.).
• Internet access, 5 Mb/s. The speed can be lower, but it will be longer to access the documents and save the student responses.
• XGA Monitor (1024 x 768 pixels min) or better.
  For LIVE, 2 monitors with the same screen resolution are recommended
• Keyboard & mouse (or equivalent touch screen or touchpad functionality).
• Sound card with external headphones & microphone connection. For a laptop, it is not recommended to use the internal microphone and Speakers.

• 120 GB drive, solid-state drive highly recommended (SSD, M.2.). 
• Internet access, 5 Mb/s. The speed can be lower, but it will take longer to access the documents and student responses.
• XGA Monitor (1024 x 768 pixels min).
• Keyboard & mouse.
• Sound card with external headphones & microphone connection. It is not recommended to use the internal microphone and speakers.
