Hardware Only Class
In some environments, there is no data network, so stations are physically interconnected using the hardware intercom and/or the hardware KVM options.
Check the box for Hardware Only Class for this type of system configuration.
When you do this, a pop-up configuration panel prompts you to enter the number of student stations:
In such an environment, it is also possible to have some non-computer stations connected to this system.
Click on the AV Stations button to access the AV stations library. The panel shown below will open.
Check the boxes for specific station types that you would like to include. Uncheck the boxes to remove these AV Stations.
SmartClass LIVE (Symposium Live Mode)
A previous product called Symposium included an optional configuration called Symposium LIVE.
This configuration can be emulated with SmartClass by checking the Symposium Live mode box.
The LIVE version of the system is configured to support students who do not have any type of device, but who interface with the system using the hardware intercom option.
Note: Do not confuse SmartClass LIVE, the application, with the old Symposium Live system.
