Single Screen or Dual Screen? (or more!)

The SmartClass Teacher software can be configured to operate in a single-screen or multiple-screen teacher station. We strongly recommend a dual-screen, as this allows the LIVE dashboard to always be visible for teachers on the secondary screen.

When configuring two screens, make sure that:

1. Top Vertical Alignment – Make sure that the two displays are top-aligned. (This impacts the automatic detection of screen resolution.)
2. Extend the Displays – Make sure that the Windows desktop is extended onto all screens. It is possible on a 3-screen system to duplicate the main screen to an other screen. The Live will automatically show on the secondary monitor.
3. Screen resolution - Make sure  that the monitors have teh same screen resolution and scale setting. If not possible the One Screen Mode is your only option.

Selecting the Screen mode:

You can select how the Live will be displayed on your screen(s). 

One screen mode: Will open the Live in a small window. You can then move it to any screen when you have more than 1. It can be maximized. For a single-screen teacher station, we suggest not to maximize Live. It will be easier to use Live. 

Auto : Only for a dual-screen teacher station. Live will automatically open full screen on the secondary screen. 

For teacher station with 3 or 4 screens, you can select 2nd or 3rd to open automatically Live on the second or third screen to the right of the main screen. It will be a fixe screen that cannot be moved to another screen.
